Community Meeting: Hallock Chevrolet Development Alternatives

Join us Wednesday, May 24th at 7:30pm for the first in a series of public meetings we will be holding at the Hallock Chevrolet site. The purpose of these meetings is to ensure that the broader community can learn the facts and here community member's views.
At these meetings, we will discuss alternatives for development on the former Hallock Chevrolet site and begin to address the various potential impacts and benefits in the areas of traffic, sewer infrastructure and taxes and the school district.
While information will be presented about the current residential development proposal by Avalon Bay Commuities, we will also discuss potential development scenarios for the site that could include industrial and commercial uses.
A visual preference survey or visual poll will be available, enabling residents to rate different options for development of the site.
Vision Long Island is a neutral facilitator in this process. The organization has not and will not be taking a position on any proposal for the site. Participation in this meeting in no way replaces public input at a Town-sponsored meeting and/or a formal public hearing on the Avalon Bay proposal.
